CHAPTER 11 - THE SYMPTOMS OF CONDITIONED AND LIBERATED LIVING ENTITIES
Chapter 11 contains 49 verses and it is divided into 14 classes, totaling 7:18 hours.
Note: The first verse of this chapter started in the previous class (35) at 22 minutes and 47 seconds.
In this class Krishna gives two very important definitions of yoga and vedantic view of life. The first that life is but a dream, explaining how this is so. The second is the classic Upanishadic description of the two birds in the tree to describe the situation of the soul within the material body. In this class, we covered verses 11.11.2-6
Krishna here further explains the concept of the soul not being the doer, by continuing with the explanation He gave before, of the two birds in a tree, that represent the soul and Supersoul within the material body. In this class, we covered verses 11.11.7-9.
Krishna continues to explain the fundamental but hard to grasp concept of not being the doer, but the witness. In this class we describe the powerful effect of understanding your true nature and how it changes your entire outlook on life. In this class, we covered verses 11.11.10-14.
Krishna now describes the mentality and outlook of a saintly sage, in terms of how he or she deals with the world, and then describes the foolishness of studying the Vedas without attaining bhakti. In this class, we covered verses 11.11.15-19.
Krishna now describes the supremacy of His form as Krishna and the activities of Krishna and Balarama and the power of hearing and absorbing the mind in these transcendental narrations. In this class, we covered verses 11.11.20-22.
Krishna explains the most important bhakti practice: focus on His activities in the form of hearing, glorifying and remembering. Here we explain the difference between other concepts of God and devotion to the specific and intense levels of bhakti offered in the bhakti-vedanta tradition. In this class, we covered verses 11.11.23-24.
Krishna explains the importance of sanga, of being in contact with His devotees, as the means by which to attain bhakti and His abode easily. Then Uddhava wishes to continue the topic, asking Krishna further questions, which in themselves reveal the nature of God. In this class, we covered verses 11.11.25-28.
In this important paragraph, Krishna succinctly describes the wonderful qualities of a saintly person. Such descriptions allow us to map out the areas we need to work on to elevate ourselves. We go through them carefully showing the ultimate mentality that is behind them all. In this class, we covered verses 11.11.29-32.
In this class, we’ll start going through each of the 28 qualities of a perfectly realized bhakti-yogi described by Krishna. These wonderful qualities bring ultimate joy to our lives. By studying each one, we can better direct and mould ourselves closer to our hearts. In this class, we covered verses 11.11.29-32.

After explaining the qualities of the devotees, here Krishna gives us a detailed list of PRACTICES to achieve perfection in bhakti. In this class, we covered verses 11.11.33-41.
Here Krishna will explain WHERE to worship Him and how to do it in each case, as He continues to show Uddhava the paths of bhakti, and the amazingly flexible holistic approach to spirituality taught by Krishna. In this class, we covered verses 11.11.42-47.
Krishna finishes off His instructions on bhakti to Uddhava with a powerful message and a warning and then begins his explanation on the power of being in contact with similarly minded devoted yogis – His bhaktas. In this class, we covered verses 11.11.48-12.2.
